Key highlights of the tourism statistics report for March 2022:
Total international tourist arrivals increased by 125.0% to 159,546 visitors in the first three months of 2022
Of the top 10 markets, Vietnam was the highest at 29.0%, followed by Thailand (24.8%), China (6.1%), U.S.A (5.5%), Indonesia (5.4%), France (4.3%), Korea (2.7%), Malaysia (2.3%), U.K (2.3%) and Taiwan (1.9%)
These top 10 markets accounted for 84.4% of total tourist arrivals, an increase of 95.5% to 134,704 visitors in the first three months of 2022
Arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport increased by 176.5% to 74,820 visitors in the first three months of 2022
Visitors from China decreased by 59.1% to 9,753 visitors in the first three months of 2022
International business-related travels into Cambodia increased by 24.7% to 43,208 visitors in the first three months of 2022, with the top 5 markets coming from Vietnam (31.0%), China (18.2%), Indonesia (9.4%), Korea (4.9%) and Taiwan (4.5%)
International business-related travels for the month of March 2022 was 18,197 visitors, representing an increase of 556% from the lowest point of 2,776 visitors recorded in April 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic
Since the lifting of quarantine requirements in November 2021, total international tourist arrivals increased by 239.2% to 64,225 visitors and international business-related travels increased by 117.0% to 18,197 visitors in March 2022 compared to November 2021

Total international tourist arrivals decreased by 85.0% to 196,495 visitors in 2021
Of the top 10 markets, Thailand was the highest at 41.7%, followed by China (23.3%), Vietnam (11.3%), Indonesia (4.3%), U.S.A (3.3%), Korea (3.1%), Taiwan (2.0%), France (1.9%), Malaysia (1.5%) and Japan (1.0%)
These top 10 markets accounted for 93.3% of total tourist arrivals, a decrease of 81.3% to 183,245 visitors in 2021
Arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport decreased by 79.6% to 90,244 visitors in 2021
Visitors from China decreased by 86.1% to 45,775 visitors in 2021
International business-related travels into Cambodia decreased by 66.5% to 91,138 visitors in 2021 where 49.3% of such travel originated from China
