Key highlights of the tourism statistics report for February 2025:
Total international tourist arrivals increased by 27.9% YoY to 1,263,985 visitors and arrivals from ASEAN increased by 24.1% YoY to 673,101 visitors in the first two months of 2025, representing recovery rates of 101.6% and 190.5% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of February 2025, total international tourist arrivals and arrivals from ASEAN were 652,091 and 337,504 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 6.6% and 0.6% respectively compared to the month of January 2025
Of the top 10 markets, Thailand was the highest at 27.8%, followed by Vietnam (16.0%), China (14.6%), U.S.A (4.1%), Korea (4.0%), Lao PDR (3.8%), France (2.9%), U.K (2.6%), Indonesia (2.2%) and Russia (1.9%)
These top 10 markets accounted for 79.9% of total tourist arrivals, an increase of 28.6% YoY to 1,010,248 visitors in the first two months of 2025
Arrivals via air and land / waterways increased by 27.4% YoY to 535,011 visitors and 28.2% YoY to 728,974 visitors in the first two months of 2025, representing recovery rates of 63.5% and 181.3% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of February 2025, arrivals via air was 289,608 visitors representing a sequential increase of 18.0% compared to the month of January 2025
Arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport increased by 31.6% YoY to 362,243 visitors in the first two months of 2025, representing a recovery rate of 98.7% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of February 2025, arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport was 205,123 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 30.6% compared to the month of January 2025
Arrivals from China increased by 67.6% YoY to 184,372 visitors in the first two months of 2025, representing a recovery rate of 44.0% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of February 2025, arrivals from China was 116,374 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 71.1% compared to the month of January 2025
International business-related travels into Cambodia increased by 51.0% YoY to 279,508 visitors in the first two months of 2025, with the top 5 markets coming from China (45.7%), Vietnam (20.8%), Indonesia (6.8%), Thailand (5.2%) and Malaysia (2.3%), representing a recovery rate of 163.3% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of February 2025, international business-related travels into Cambodia was 181,065 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 83.9% compared to the month of January 2025
International business-related travels coming from China increased by 74.4% YoY to 127,724 visitors in the first two months of 2025, representing a recovery rate of 105.7% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of February 2025, international business-related travels coming from China was 92,532 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 162.9% compared to the month of January 2025

Key highlights of the tourism statistics report for December 2024:
Total international tourist arrivals increased by 22.9% YoY to 6,700,125 visitors and arrivals from ASEAN increased by 19.2% YoY to 4,235,631 visitors in 2024, representing recovery rates of 101.4% and 190.1% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of December 2024, total international tourist arrivals and arrivals from ASEAN were 699,068 and 436,263 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 11.6% and 19.2% respectively compared to the month of November 2024
Of the top 10 markets, Thailand was the highest at 32.0%, followed by Vietnam (20.0%), China (12.7%), Lao PDR (5.0%), U.S.A (3.2%), Korea (2.9%), Indonesia (2.5%), France (2.0%), U.K (1.7%) and Japan (1.7%)
These top 10 markets accounted for 83.6% of total tourist arrivals, an increase of 23.6% YoY to 5,603,894 visitors in 2024
Arrivals via air and land / waterways increased by 28.4% YoY to 2,396,937 visitors and 20.0% YoY to 4,303,188 visitors in 2024, representing recovery rates of 54.4% and 195.0% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of December 2024, arrivals via air and land / waterways were 244,744 visitors and 454,324 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 0.8% and 18.5% respectively compared to the month of November 2024
Arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport increased by 28.3% YoY to 1,752,583 visitors in 2024, representing a recovery rate of 84.6% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of December 2024, arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport was 165,082 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 1.3% compared to the month of November 2024
Arrivals from China increased by 55.0% YoY to 848,952 visitors in 2024, representing a recovery rate of 35.9% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of December 2024, arrivals from China was 79,177 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 1.5% compared to the month of November 2024
International business-related travels into Cambodia increased by 37.8% YoY to 1,393,198 visitors in 2024, with the top 5 markets coming from China (41.9%), Vietnam (21.8%), Indonesia (8.2%), Thailand (5.3%) and Taiwan (3.4%), representing a recovery rate of 101.6% compared to the same period in 2019
International business-related travels coming from China increased by 48.2% YoY to 584,138 visitors in 2024, representing a recovery rate of 55.8% compared to the same period in 2019
